The First Earl is a mostly mythic figure that led the first humans to the Mansion of E and became the first Earl of E. He came with the first humans to discover the land. His name, along with any other specifics of his life, is unknown.
In the secret family histories, one another thing is known: when the first humans arrived to the Mansion, was still inhabited by Ettins and the First Earl killed them (as well as himself in the process). How he accomplished this feat is unknown.
The succession from the First Earl to Ettric, the second Earl, is also unknown.
