The Agenda is a list of Tasks to be performed at specific times by the occupants of The Mansion of E. Doing these Tasks is part of the Earl's duty but some Tasks go better with a women to do them(
) for whatever reason, hence the office of Taskmistress.
It is not clear what higher purpose these tasks serve, but the Mansion seems to run more smoothly when they are performed correctly. Doing the Tasks is not strictly necessary. The manual has been compiled by trial and error() down the generations of the E Family.
The comic opens() with an Agenda task. The task() specifies no more tasks are needed for a time, but Sylvester's inner monologue is interrupted before the readers learn low long.
